Denise is starting her 7th year of coaching cheerleading but has been coaching young people since she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1994. She sees coaching as the way to provide young people with the chance to develop leadership, team work, and self-esteem while giving them a positive memory regardless of their age or skill level – greatness is not about winning but achieving your goals with “JOY!” She is AACCA Spirit Safety certified, is an accredited interscholastic coach with the National Federation of State High School Association, and is USASF certified in levels 1 - 4 for building skills and tumbling. Denise applies her cheer skills to her “day job” as an Administrative Officer for College Town, Inc. She resides in Newville with her husband, Bill and their two cheerleaders.
Heather is a former USA Stars Level 4&5 team member. After competing for the Stars, she went on to successfully compete for the University of Maryland Competitive Cheer team. In addition to coaching, Heather is a high school English teacher at Northern High School. Heather and her husband, Luke, live close to the gym and are passionate about working with the Stars teams and helping to grow the entire program.

Board Member, Founder
After 18 years of coaching competitive cheer – including 11 years as founder and head coach for the USA Stars – Carol has retired from the company and currently offers cheer services for cheer choreography and music as an independent contractor. She carries with her the memories of USASF affiliation, multiple championship teams, and the knowledge that she had reached her primary goal of creating an environment for athletes to acquire not just cheer skills, but to develop much needed life skills that would carry them beyond their days at the gym. Coaching and creating the USA Stars has been a wild ride with lots of ups and downs, but Carol feels completely confident that the new leadership will take the company to even greater heights... She was aiming for the stars but believes the new program will go beyond those dreams ... in both successes and individual growth.
Carol was born in England and immigrated (with her family) to the United States in 1956. She became a citizen in 1963 and is very “proud to be an American’ - which is why the name of this organization is more than just letters, colors, and a mascot. Although she is grateful for her English heritage, Carol reminds everyone that she is a Brit by birth - but an American by choice.
Carol still does free-lance graphics for select clients. She cheered for Cumberland Valley in the sixties and has been very happily married to her high-school sweetheart, Bill (a Senior Vice-President and Branch Manager for Dewberry, Inc.) since 1971. They have two sons; Michael who lives in Phoenix with his wife, Tracey, son Mason and daughter Cailyn; and Jeremy who resides in Howell, NJ with his wife, Lauren and daughter Olive. These days Carol is piling up “air” miles flying to Phoenix and putting on “road” miles traveling to New Jersey... and thoroughly spoiling the grandkids!
